When I got engaged I had a vision for my wedding. I wanted a big white tent, all white linens, brass candlesticks with white candles glowing all night, little antique glasses for tealights, and antique blue & white plates. Well, I couldn’t find anywhere to rent the number of candlesticks I needed for all the tables of our 250+ guest wedding, and shockingly, I couldn’t find that amount of antique plates either. So I began gathering them myself. There also wasn’t a place that a had a bunch of little antique glasses for tealights, only the classic boring ones. SO- I hunted every thrift store and estate sale in IL and MI weekly until I had enough. And now? I have an absurd amount of brass candlesticks, antique glasses and antique plates.
